Backup and restore
Save every guide to one file, and bring a backup back on any device.
Save a backup
Click the backup button at the bottom of the panel, then Save backup. Every guide, with its screenshots, goes into one .zip file in your downloads. Keep it somewhere safe: uninstalling StepKit deletes the guides in the browser.
A reminder once a month
When your guides live only in this browser, the backup button turns amber and a note in the guide list asks for a backup if you have three guides or more and none was saved in the last 30 days. Save backup quiets it for a month; its close lets you choose Remind me in 7 days or Don't remind me again. With Pro, sync keeps the guides and the reminder stops.
Restore
Click Restore and pick a backup file. StepKit merges it with the guides you have and tells you how many changes it brought in.
Space used
Settings, Storage shows how many guides and screenshots this device holds.
