Capture tools

Pause, capture a page without clicking, keep a click from running, blur and discard while you record.

While a capture runs, the panel shows its tools above the list of captured steps.

Pause and Resume: stop recording clicks for a moment, then go on.
Capture: takes a screenshot of the page as it is, without a click. The keyboard shortcut is Alt+Shift+S, handy for a menu that closes as soon as you click elsewhere. You can change the shortcut on Chrome's extension shortcuts page.
No click: the next click is captured but does not run. Hold Alt while you click to do the same at any time.
Blur: blurs sensitive data in the next screenshots (Pro).
Discard: deletes the whole capture.

Delete a step from the list while you record if it should not be there. Everything else waits for the editor once you click Finish.
