Installation
Add StepKit to Chrome, pin it, and open the side panel for the first time.
From the Chrome Web Store
Install StepKit from the Chrome Web Store. Chrome tucks new extensions away, so click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin StepKit to keep it in reach.
Opening the side panel
Click the StepKit icon: the panel opens next to the page and stays there while you browse and switch tabs. The Guides tab holds your guides and folders, the Account tab your plan, and the gear opens Settings.
The welcome page and the Example guide
Right after installing, StepKit opens a welcome page on toolclack.com that shows how to pin it and start. Your guide list also starts with a short guide marked Example: a tour of StepKit made with StepKit. Read it, then delete it whenever you like.
No account needed
The Free plan works fully local. There is nothing to sign up for: install StepKit and record your first guide.
