Creating and organizing snippets

The snippet editor, folders and subfolders, favorites, and search.

The editor

A snippet has a name (up to 60 characters), a shortcut (up to 32), and its content (up to 10,000). Tokens like {date} or {Client name} show up as colored pills right in the content, so a template reads at a glance. The Insert menu adds them for you; typing { by hand works too.

Folders and subfolders

Group snippets into folders, give each folder a color and an icon, and drag them into the order you like. A folder's menu can add a subfolder inside it, so a big library becomes a tree: Clients holding one folder per account, Support holding one per language. Folders collapse, and loose snippets live in My snippets, the home folder that is always there.

Favorites

Star the snippets you use most: they gather in the Favorites group at the top, with their own manual ordering.

Finding things

The search box filters snippets as you type, across names, shortcuts and content. Every row also has a menu with duplicate, move to another folder, history, share and delete; deletes can be undone from the toast that appears.
