Import and export

One import door for eight sources, and an export that asks what goes in the file.

Importing from other apps

Settings, Backup & import, Import: pick the source and follow the hint that appears. FillKit reads exports from Text Blaze, Magical, TextExpander, ProKeys, Auto Text Expander, aText and the Text Snippets Extension, plus plain CSV (columns shortcut, name, content, folder). Sources that copy their export to the clipboard get a Paste button instead of a file picker.

What converts

Dates, clipboard, cursor and form fields become FillKit tokens: a Text Blaze {time: MMMM Do YYYY} arrives as a working {date:MMMM Do YYYY}, form menus become dropdown questions. What has no FillKit twin (formulas, key presses, page automation) is left out, and the import says so.

Preview before anything is written

Every import shows what it found first: the folders, the snippets inside them, name and shortcut each. Untick the folders you do not want, then confirm. Nothing lands until you press Import.

Exporting

Export opens the same kind of card in reverse: your folders, autofill sets, details and settings, all ticked. Keep everything ticked and you download a full backup; untick and you get a partial export, named so it never poses as a full one. A restore of a FillKit file merges newer-wins and deletes nothing.
