What a chain is

A chain strings snippets together: typing its shortcut inserts every item below, in order. Think of a full email reply built from your greeting, a stock answer and your signature.

Creating one

Press the arrow next to New and choose Chain. A chain's shortcut uses the doubled prefix (;;reply instead of ;reply), so you always know which is which. Each line of a chain is either an existing snippet or free text you type inline.

Why chains beat copy-paste

The pieces stay single-sourced: update your signature snippet once and every chain that includes it is up to date. Variables and interactive fields inside the chained snippets keep working too.
