Lists pick up duplicates whenever they are merged, exported twice or copied from several places. This tool keeps the first copy of every line and drops the rest, while the counts tell you how many lines went in and how many came out.
Sort A to Z orders the result alphabetically without regard to capitals, with numbers in natural order, so item 2 comes before item 10.

Ignore case treats Apple and apple as the same line and keeps the first spelling. Trim spaces removes spaces and tabs at the start and end of every line, so a stray space no longer makes two lines look different.
They stay where they are, since they often separate groups, and they are never counted as duplicates. Tick Remove empty lines to drop them, including lines that hold only spaces.
