About this tool

A case converter rewrites the capitals in a text without touching the words: a paragraph typed with Caps Lock on becomes readable again, a headline gets proper Title Case, a list of labels becomes the camelCase or snake_case names your code expects.

Every line is converted on its own, so lists and columns keep their shape, and you can switch between cases as often as you like: the original text stays in the box on the left.

This tool is built by ToolClack and, like everything we make, it is local-first: your data stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Which words stay lowercase in Title Case?

Short joining words: a, an, and, as, at, but, by, for, in, nor, of, on, or, per, the, to, via and vs. They are still capitalized when they start or end a line, or right after punctuation such as a colon.

What happens to names like iPhone or NASA?

In Title Case and Sentence case, words that already mix capitals are kept as they are. When a whole line is in capitals there is no telling names apart, so every word on it is converted.

How are words split for camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case?

At spaces, punctuation, dashes, underscores and existing capitals, so My Variable Name, my-variable-name and myVariableName all give the same words. Apostrophes are dropped, and each line is converted on its own.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser as you type; your text never leaves your device.
